Fructose

Fructose can be used as a sugar replacement. 1 Teaspoon fructose equals 1.5 teaspoons sugar.

Because fructose is converted by the liver to glucose, it is released much slower into the blood stream and therefore can stabalise blood sugar levels quite effectively. Fructose is a refined sugar and should be used in moderation
