Biodegradable Baby Wipes With Organic Aloe
100% biodegradable, extra soft and gentle plant-based wet wipes. Infused with organic aloe, tea tree and lavender to gently clean and protect, whilst being kinder to both your baby’s skin and the environment.
The Pure Beginnings Biodegradable Baby Wipes have quickly become our most popular product. Extra-soft, plant-based fibres are not only gentle on the skin, they are environmentally friendly and 100% biodegradable.
- Aloe Vera leaf extract – a soothing, healing base which has been used for centuries to treat and care for sensitive skin
- Tea Tree oil – natural antiseptic with traditional healing properties
- Natural plant fibre – 100% biodegradable viscose, unlike conventional wipes which are plastic
- Lavender oil – has natural soothing and antiseptic properties
- Rose Geranium oil – balances skin, boosts and improves skin elasticity, and calms irritated skin
- Ultra-mild surfactants – gentle plant-based surfactants that will not strip the skin of its’ natural oils, leaving it clean, but not dry, inflamed or irritated
- pH balanced to that of the skin to provide an optimal environment for the skin microbiome
- Certified organic ingredients
Additional information:
- Regular wipes are a mixture of water and chemicals pressed into an absorbent disposable cloth. This cloth usually has tiny pieces of plastic particles woven into it to give it strength.
- Wet wipes are technically ‘disposable’, but this does not mean they magically disintegrate. Instead, like most of our rubbish, they are shuffled off somewhere, out of sight (and out of mind), adding to our landfills – where they proceed to wreak havoc on our environment.
- While the word ‘flushable’ on a packet of wipes might make us feel a bit better, we’re not off the hook quite yet. There is no official standard for defining a wipe as “flushable” and, most often than not, wipes that are flushed, do not break up into small enough pieces quickly enough. The flushing of wipes has been identified by sewerage systems worldwide as a major management crisis because they clog pipes and eventually entire systems. Adding to this, the wipes inevitably enter the ocean and are often ingested by sea creatures such as turtles, who mistake them for jellyfish.
- Along with straws and many other plastics, wipes have been known to wash up on beaches all around the world.
