Burdock (Arctium lappa) is a biennial plant native to Europe and Asia.

The root of the plant has been used as both food and for medicinal purposes for generations. Traditionally Burdock Root has been recommended as a blood purifier to clear the bloodstream of toxins and as a diuretic to help eliminate excess water by increasing urine output. Chinese practitioners often blend Burdock with other herbs for relieving sore throats and colds.

Burdock Root also contains inulin, a dietary fiber, which helps with maintaining healthy gut flora and improving digestion and overall health. As a root vegetable, it also contains considerably stronger antioxidant activity than other common vegetables such as carrots, potatoes and radishes.

Suggested use: Take 1 to 2 capsules up to 3 times a day.
